Strand Hallstatt, you may ask where does the name come from?
In 1935, the STRANDCAFE was built here, which was also family-owned since then.
The unique location and the hospitality of the owners was already then very popular with the locals, as well as with guests. At that time there were no rooms.
In 2020, we decided to build a new building, which was not an easy undertaking. The foundation walls had to remain and the challenges were great.
In August 2021 it was finally time and we could open our "NEW BOUTIQUEHOTEL STRAND HALLSTATT".
A jewel of which we are proud, where all our heart and soul is inside.
BOUTIQUE HOTEL STRAN HALLSTATT AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
Since 1997 it belongs to the UNESCO world cultural heritage. Hallstatt is also known for the Hallstatt culture - Iron Age ( about 800 BC ), or its unique cemetery, the church with the beautiful winged altar ......
Interesting is also a visit to the oldest salt mine in Austria or a hike to the Echerntal.
Emperor Franz Josef and his Sissy had their summer residence here. During a visit to the Kaiservilla you will feel the flair of that time. Franz Lehar, Johann Nestroy and the Cafe Zauner are also part of Bad Ischl's history.
In the Kurhaus, the operetta festivals invite you to visit in summer. You will find rest and relaxation in the Emperor's Thermal Baths.
Gosau is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is really worth a visit. Lake Gosau with the Gosau Glacier in the background has often been painted and photographed - to experience it live is very impressive.
Whether summer or winter, Gosau scores with a very diverse range of leisure activities in every season.
In summer as well as in winter, a ride with the gondola to the Krippenstein is worthwhile. The viewing platform "Five Fingers" promises a magnificent view of the fascinating mountain world.
The Dachstein Ice Caves or the Koppenbrüller Caves are witnesses of past times and really worth seeing.
Cultural city of the world. Reachable by car in about 50 min.
